Day 6: Shopping in Sydney

Woke up at 8 and poured myself a warm cup of mushroom soup. It is colder here in Sydney as compared to the previous places that we went. But of course in the city, there’s better sights and places to visit so it’s exciting!
We took the train once again but this time, we pressed the student’s price instead of the adult ones. (Half the price of adult ones) Our main objective for today was to get a car and travel around Sydney. We hopped on a train to Redfern station and transferred to bus 309. When we boarded the bus, we asked for directions and how much will it cost us to travel there. Sorry did I mention that some Australians are really nice people? We got a free ride to the car rental place ๐Ÿ˜

Had a quick brunch at a nearby shop and got ourselves a bad ass vehicle. Why did I say bad ass? It was fully covered in graffiti and imagine us driving that through the towns of Sydney. ๐Ÿ˜‚ everywhere we go people just kept staring or smiling at us. Since we were tourist and nobody will recognize us… Why not? ๐Ÿ˜…

Drove to Birkenhead point where the factory outlets stores are and walked around for our first stop. I can tell you guys that the stuffs that they sold there weren’t cheap and its relatively close to what we usually get in Singapore. But it was a good place to stop at nonetheless. I even bought a shirt for myself at around SGD$30 from esprit! So there are still some things to get when you’re there.

After which, we went to Boardway shopping mall which is near to our accommodation and went a few rounds in the mall. There wasn’t much for us to buy or see but there was a sales going on. So it’s probably a good time to come when there’s sales happening. Ate at a nearby vegetarian store and drove back home calling it a day.

Tomorrow we are heading over to blue mountains! Which is one of the highlights of this trip! So be sure to keep a look out if you’re interested alright! and sorry to say that I can post pictures as often anymore because of the data constrains. But when I get back, I’m sure to have a post will every beautiful pictures taken for the trip! ๐Ÿ˜Š till next time.

Day 5: Hunter valley to SYDNEY

Ever have the feeling of waking up and just drinking some wine? Okay.. You must that that we are crazy. Who in the world drinks wine at 8am in the morning? WE DID! Got up at 7am in the morning and made breakfast for them. Drank some orange juice and had eggs and toast.

As normal, we just rush out of the super house that we got and just packed and throw everything back in the caravan. Oh yeah.. I did not write about the super house previously. It was a one floor apartment which two queen size beds and two bathrooms with a bathtub. The apartment was so big and we got it at a cheap rate.

We got out of the apartment by 10 and head over to a winery called the First Creek. Had a short tour and got some knowledge first hand on how wines are made. It was interesting and fun and to the best part, wine tasting!! ๐Ÿ˜ we tasted like a thousand different kinds of wine and finally got one bottle of red wine. I can tell you that their wine was exquisite and flavory. We didn’t have any regrets going to First Creek winery for our trip.

After which, we headed over to Sydney! And yes, it was another freaking long trip. It took us a while and by the time we got to Sydney it was near sunset. We got into an apartment which we rented for 4 nights. Settled our stuff down and headed out for some night sight seeing. Chanced upon an art museum and went in to take a look at the art pieces. Although I am not someone who can truly appreciate art, the art pieces there are truly wonderful. The architecture and masterpieces created the whole arty ambience for all the guest.

Took a scroll in the parks and business district and headed back. We hop on to the train station hoping to catch a train back to our apartment as it was exciting to see and experience how the train here works. But to our horror, the tickets were expensive. It took us AUD$4 to get three stations. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ can you believe it?? But yeah.. I guess that the experience of it is okay.. Like it is unique and more comfy as compared to the ones in Singapore.

That’s it! We called it a day after that and headed back into our apartment. Sorry that I won’t be able to post for a while because I’m out of data! But I’m hoping that I can get better connections so that I can continue to update you guys! So… See you guys whenever I can alright! Cheers!

I owe you guys picture alright!๐Ÿ˜…

Day 4: Road trip moving from Port Stephen to Hunter Vally

Day 4 of our road trip and it’s getting a bit tiring. We are not able to sleep early and wake up early because of its shorter days and longer nights. Just today, we were suppose to wake up at 5.30 in the morning. We tried to snooze our alarms and guess what, we woke up at 6.30. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ but it’s alright, we just woke up, clean up and head on our way with eating breakfast as we go along.

Driving from our camping site to Port Stephen is a freaking long drive; 337km drive to be exact. So my friends had to take turns and drive us there. It took us awhile but when we got there, it was stunningly beautiful. The view from Port Stephen was just unbelievable and amazing. You can see the views later at the bottom of this post! ๐Ÿ˜

We signed up for sand boarding and they took us to a site where all sand boarding was happening. We got a short tutorial and started on our own. We started with the lower slope and slowly worked our way up. It was fast and furious!! It was so much fun and all of us agreed that it was the best activity we did so far. But the climb to the top of the slope was a tiny bit tiring๐Ÿ˜… but once you got up there, I promise you that the view and the experience will be all worth it. The whole experience was about AUD$20, with them driving you to the site, lending you the board and dropping you off at the point where you board the bus. It does not have any time limit as long as you finish by midnight๐Ÿ˜‚

Just a tip: you can wear slippers to the site as you will still take out your shoes in the end. Think of sand boarding and sand flying towards you. Then think of how you should dress alright! ๐Ÿ˜‰

After a strong fun 2 hours of sand boarding, we got into our caravan and head to Hunter valley. We got there a bit later than we planned so we needed to book an accommodation at hunter valley for us to visit the wineries and chocolate factory tomorrow. We went to a few nearby ones and tried on a few wines. As a loyal red wine fan, I must say that not all are very nice and appeal to our liking. Having said that, there are of course some that are absolutely fantastic and worth getting. I’m thinking of getting a few too! But it is nice to go and taste some of the wines and see some fantastic views.

Got back to our apartment and I must say that this place looks great and totally worth the money. ๐Ÿ˜ okay.. Well.. Enough said because today have been a very tiring day for all of us. Rushing from one place to another but we were rewarded with some beautiful sceneries and it made it all worth it.

Till tomorrow my dear readers. โ˜บ๏ธ hope you guys are having a good day too. ๐Ÿ™†

Living by the countryside, we can see why some people choose to stay here. But we also miss the city life. But just.. Relaxing and calming days like this. Makes us all happy.

Day 3: watching sunrise is my favorite view

Good day mates! ๐Ÿ˜Š yes.. As promised, I will be posting picture at the bottom of my post. So today, we got up at around 4 plus in the morning hoping to catch the sunrise down at Bryon bay lighthouse. Everyone was literally sleepy but we made it through by just sheer willpower.

Drove up the top and soon arrived at our destination; the lighthouse. Unfortunately for us, it was raining and cloudy ๐Ÿ˜” so we couldn’t get any shots of the sun rising. But I promise you that there’s still some amazing shots๐Ÿ˜‰ braved the cold strong wind with the view of the ocean. It was drizzling but nobody really cares about it. We just continued taking shots after shots. As we were about to head back to where our caravan was, I saw a rainbow that appeared in the sky. It’s like a double rainbow with one fader than the other.

After which, we head back to our cabin for breakfast and packed our stuff to leave for our next stop. We drove up to the town area to walk around and do some window shopping. The streets were so chill and relaxing compared to the streets of Singapore where people just kept rushing everyday. This was totally a different view from ours.

After chilling and going around the town, we heading for our destination for today; Coffs Harbour. But midway there, my friend decided that we should stop somewhere and take pictures as the view was simply amazing. However, our caravan got stucked in the mud while he was trying to turn the vehicle around. And then, a hero arrived and helped us. He used his vehicle and pulled ours out of the muddy area. (Thank goodness) ๐Ÿ˜… took some pictures and headed back to our track.

Driving to Coffs Harbour is so freaking long as the distance is very far away from us. It took us almost half a day to get there. And when we were there, we were too late for the sunset and almost everything was closed๐Ÿ˜… but it’s alright! We still have the rest of the trip to capture beautiful views. ๐Ÿ˜Š (trying to cheer myself up) visited big banana theme park and rented a spot in the caravan park to charge our vehicle. Too bad I can’t take a picture of the park as its too dark for any photos.. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

So till next time guys! And hope that you are having a good start to your week ๐Ÿ˜โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘

A trip to remember. Filling it with lots and lots of memories. Bringing it to my grave.

Day 2 drive to Bryon Bay

Just in case you guys are wondering, why am I on a trip and still be free to blog about it? It’s because I’m on a road trip. When my friends are driving, the rest of us have nothing to do. For me, I take photos and blog about it! So there… ๐Ÿ˜

The day started with me waking up think that I lost my poor frozen toes. It appears that the rest of my body is warm and covered. However, my poor feet had just one layer of socks.. I thought I lost them.. But thank goodness๐Ÿ˜… but this caused my whole body to be shivering and it took a hot cup of tea to warm my body up again.

We returned our rental car and went to surfers paradise to see the beach. The view of the beach was beyond my vocabulary. It was amazing, awesome, comfy, relaxing, exhilarating, really beyond words. The feel of the soft cool air blowing and touching your skin as you let your feet feel the cool cold sand beneath your feet. It felt like something that I cannot comprehend and it felt good. Took a few shots and continue walking to our lunch venue which is… Dominos pizza. Why? Come all the way for something you can get back in Singapore? Firstly, the flavors and types of pizza here is different from ours. And secondly, it is the cheapest damn pizza ever. We each paid like AUD$5 for a full pizza! โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘

We went for some grocery shopping nearby before heading back to our caravan, leaving for our destination for today; The Bryon Bay. We found a cabin for us to stay near to Bryon Bay so we stayed there for a night. Tmr early in the morning we are going to head for The Bryon Bay and see sunrise from there. I’m so excited because… Yes.. Sunrise are one of my favorite things in my life.

Cooked our dinner in the cabin that we are lounging in for tonight and finally got to bathe and do some packing. Road trips are fun and I’m still loving every step along the way. ๐Ÿ˜Š everyone should do this even for once in their life.

Till next time people or they like to call it here; till next time mates. ๐Ÿ˜‰ shall spam you guys with sunrise pictures tmr๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™†

but for now…

Sweet waves crashing towards the shoreline and as I walked down, I began to feel better; some weights off my shoulders. Travel helps.

Day 1: Gold Coast – Brisbaneย

If people tells you that it’s all hot and sunny here in Gold Coast, THATS A LIE! Okay.. Well it isn’t really that cold but when the wind starts to blow, you will get my point ๐Ÿ˜‚

It was a hectic day for us. Because we are all new to this place and have literally no idea what we should and shouldn’t do, things have been decided based on last minutes decisions. Running around from place to place was quite tiring to be honest but because of that, I got to see more of the streets and view here. Some of the views here were simply breathtaking; stunningly beautiful. The people here are all nice and chill, greeting and fistbumping people along the way.

Our meals were a bit distorted as we didn’t have time for a lot of stuff and ended up rushing everywhere. In the end, we missed lunch and had dinner only at around 7? But holy shit… It is an experience nonetheless. As we rented a caravan, we tried to cook in it for the very first time. We started with some technical difficulties and had to figure out how in the world to start a fire. We decided not to cook stuff that will be too difficult for us to handle; eggs and omelette should be fine then.

But the cooking space wasn’t really big and the three of us that tried to cook, well.. the space wasn’t really enough. It was up till a point where we got out of our vehicle and cut the vegetables outside. ๐Ÿ˜‚ but it all turned out well in the end. What an experience you see… You have to be here to experience it for yourself to know how we survived. But yeah.. It was fun. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Got to have a few drinks and went back to our caravan and called it a day. It was tiring and everyone just almost immediately knocked out. I kept waking up tho, as my legs and feet were literally freezing.

It was tough but overall, I enjoyed my first day here and I’m looking forward to the rest of our trip. Cheers guys and here are some photos that I took. (These aren’t in order)๐Ÿ˜…

Till next time ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿš—

I sat down with the dark sky towering over me. I looked up and saw all the different constellations and stars. I smiled because this was the best I have ever got to see.
